Diana Campos, our dedicated International Patients Coordinator, works hand in hand with Obesity Care Group to offer you the needed support along your medical journey. She will be the link between you, as patient, and your surgeon, Dr. Daniel Campos, in order to make your experience less challenging and leave you time to care for yourself pre-treatment.

➊ CANDIDACY

Provide us with your medical history and relevant details in order to evaluate your candidacy and get pre-approved for surgery. 

➋ SCHEDULE A DATE

Select a date with our coordination team and make the required non refundable $500 deposit to schedule the procedure.

➌ PRE-TRAVEL PREPARATION

Allow roughly 2 weeks of time off from work to go through the surgery process and acceptable recovery time. At this time, you will arrange all travel details. 

➍ PRE-OP PREPARATION

Based on patient’s needs, Dr. Campos will give specific instructions, such as diets, medications, and lifestyle changes, to prepare you for surgery.

➎ WELCOME

You will be welcomed by our patient coordinator at the airport of Torreón, Mexico, who will take you directly to your hotel for you to install an rest after your trip.

➏ PRE-SURGERY

The next day, you will undergo the corresponding pre-operative exams, and later on that afternoon you will be taken to the hospital for your first consultation with Dr. Daniel Campos and the rest of the staff.

➐ SURGERY

The day of the surgery you will arrive at the hospital, where the nursing staff will prepare you for the procedure and our doctors will carry out the surgery through laparoscopy. After surgery, you will be taken to your private room for recovery.

➑ HOSPITAL STAY

Patient’s recovery at the hospital will last around 2 days, including the day of the procedure. During your hospital stay, you will be provided with all the cares and your companion will be allowed to visit you during the day and stay with you at night if desired. 

➒ RECOVERY

Once convenient, you will be taken to your hotel to continue with your recovery before you return home. It is recommended that you follow every medical instruction and use time for resting. Our staff and Dr. Campos will be closely overseeing your evolution at this time.

➓ RETURN HOME

The day of your trip you will be taken from the hotel to the airport. Depending on the bariatric procedure performed, a monitoring program with special instructions, diets, e-mail checking and calls will be provided.
