"I came to the point where I was admitted to the hospital for blood pressure problems and the doctors indicated a life-long treatment consisting of 6 tablets a day. Anyway, I could mention countless things that someone with obesity experiences. After the sleeve surgery, everything started to change. I followed my regimen as instructed and after a year I had lost 90 lbs (41 kgs). I'm getting addicted to exercise because I had never been able to do any activity. I know my life is complete now."

Mayra's story: 
"I took the best decision to treat my obesity." 

"I remember it all started in my teens when I was 15, an age full of dreams and illusions but when many changes are experienced. Something was happening to me, I was gaining weight although I did not suffer any physical problem such as thyroid, fatty liver or other diseases associated with obesity. The problem I had, if you can call it that, was an exaggerated fascination with food. I think that was the main factor, the pleasure I had eating."
